Giro di Toscana: Enjoy a cycling adventure in the heart of Italy with EliteCore

Is there a more iconic place for a cyclist than Tuscany? The rolling hills of Val d’Orcia, cypress avenues cutting across the horizon and the famous white gravel roads that host the pros every year at Strade Bianche. This is where cycling stops being ordinary training and becomes an authentic experience.

Join us for Giro di Toscana - a week-long cycling camp that combines a professional approach to training with a celebration of the Italian way of life.

Why choose a cycling camp in Tuscany?

Our trip is not just about "ticking off kilometres". It's a carefully designed programme prepared by EliteCore Track Team riders, who will share their experience with you.

1. Training with experts

Whether you're looking for a tough workout or want to polish your riding technique, our leaders will take care of the right pace and safety. We work on technique, climbing efficiency and confidence on descents.

2. Two ability groups: PRO and LIGHT

We believe cycling is for everyone. That's why each of our routes comes in two versions:

  • PRO: For ambitious riders (average of at least 25 km/h, full distances).
  • LIGHT: For amateurs and families (approx. 50% of the distance, pace up to 25 km/h) - ideal for enjoying the views without too much pressure.

3. Romantic cycling 😉

It's our guiding motto. Tuscany is a region you have to experience with all your senses. On the road there is always time for a perfect Italian espresso, lunch in an atmospheric village and souvenir photos in film-worthy settings.

Dates: 19-26 July 2026 - The quintessence of the Italian summer

July in Tuscany is when the landscape shimmers with gold. The long days let us make the most of our time on the bike, and the evenings are perfect for recovery over local food and wine. It's the ideal moment to build form in conditions that motivate like no other.

6 Days, 6 Unique Routes

Every day we head out by minibus to a new area to show you the very best of Tuscany. All stages are loops (start and finish in the same place).

Day Route What awaits you?
I Pisa & Lucca Classic sights, the Leaning Tower and the walls of old Lucca.
II Volterra & San Gimignano Medieval towers, vineyards and serious elevation gain.
III Siena (Strade Bianche) The iconic white gravel roads and a test of character on a legendary course.
IV Val d’Orcia Pienza and the iconic "Gladiator View Point". The most beautiful stage!
V Chianti The heart of wine country, with Florence in the background.
VI Recovery & Sightseeing An easy spin to loosen the legs and an afternoon in Florence "off the bike".

4-star comfort and logistics

Our camp base is the Hotel Toscana Ambassador in Poggibonsi. It's a strategic location that lets us reach the best routes quickly.

  • Security: A lockable bike room and a bike-washing station.
  • Convenience: Breakfast included, bike transport from Poland by minibus and on-site mechanical support.
  • Support: Every group rides with a leader, and participants receive tested GPX files for Garmin/Wahoo devices.

What to bring on the trip?

Preparation is key. Apart from the obvious, such as a roadworthy bike (road or gravel - we recommend 28-32 mm tyres) and a helmet, remember to bring:

  • High-SPF sunscreen (the Tuscan sun can really burn!),
  • Appropriate insurance (EHIC + private policy),
  • Spare inner tubes and a basic repair kit

A tip from EliteCore: Tuscan gravel can be demanding - a wider tyre is your insurance for comfort and no mechanicals on the Strade Bianche sections!
